Home Reading and French homework

We will be taking a break from the French homework for the next few weeks. We have been working hard in class writing our speeches for 'Discours’, working on group projects on different countries and getting ready for report cards. I will be sending home more information when we resume our French homework. It seems to be a struggle either completing it, returning it on time or losing it all together!

Home Reading should be done every night for 10-15 minutes. Books can be books from our class, Library books or books from home. Some students have been sent home a password for Raz-kids (an online reading program). Please let me know if you would also like to be added.

I have noticed that many students have been completing their English Home Reading and there is not very much involvement in the French Home Reading. I am in the process of testing every student on their French reading levels and will be sending some books specifically geared to your child. They are then reminded to take ownership of changing their own Home Reading books as we are in February and are still needing reminders.

Also, please check the agendas for notes and forms that need to be signed. Much appreciated!

I will be sending home a list of students' names for Valentine's Day tomorrow so they are ready for the weekend!

February is a busy month! Looking forward to seeing you at conferences in March!
Please send me an email if you have any questions.
