What do we know about desert habitats?
Ximena- Desert habitats are really dry because they receive less than 10 inches of rain a year.
Prinz- Some desert plants are poisonous.
Kane- Deserts have different plants than we do here like Aloe Vera plants and Joshua trees.
Elizabeth- We have more water in Winnipeg than in the desert.
Eli- Desert habitats are hot enough to burn microwave in 20 weeks.
Adam- Deserts are very hot.
Madelyn- Lots of animals live in the desert like foxes, rabbits, rattlesnakes and kangaroo rats.
Sara- Lizards move quickly on the sand when it is hot and they have skin to protect the sand from going in their ears.

Quinn- Some deserts are rocky, some are sandy. Some have oceans near them and some don't.
