Our Bulletin Boards

Our last hallway board displayed what things we are saying goodbye to from our summer holidays and what we are saying hello to by coming back to school.
We are saying goodbye to.....
Swimming outside, going to the beach, sleeping in, going to camps, roasting marshmallows...
We are saying hello to...
New and old friends, pencils, reading every day, working hard, playing outside at recess...

The students' wrote about their Summer vacation. We brainstormed ideas from our holiday, did some teacher modelling, shared our ideas, did a rough-copy and revised.

Our hallway board now has a new writing activity entitled 'I can't imagine my life without...'
